SECTION V – TEAM REGULATIONS
A). AGE DIVISION # PLAYERS BALL SIZE HALF TIME GAME DURATION

B) All teams will be co-ed, wherever possible.
C) All players must be registered with the league.
D) Each team will be supplied with balls, and a goalie top.
SECTION VI – PLAYERS EQUIPMENT
A) All players must wear regulation soccer equipment:
· SHIRT.
· SHORTS. ( BLACK )
· SOCKS.
· SHIN PADS.
NOTE. ONLY GOALKEEPERS ARE ALLOWED TO WEAR HEADGEAR (CAP).
B) All shirts to be numbered. No two (2) players of the same team shall wear the same number.
C) Players are not allowed to wear wristwatches, jewellery or caps/headscarves.
SECTION VII – CONDUCT, COACHES AND SPECTATORS
A) Team officials (coaches) will only be allowed to coach from the two sidelines.
B) Team officials are only allowed on the field in the event of an injury.
C) No one is allowed to spectator or coach from behind the goal line.
D) Team officials are responsible for the conduct of their supporters and players. Coaches, players and spectators must remain at least one (1) metre back from the sidelines.
E) Team officials are subject to discipline by the league.
SECTION VIII – GAME REGULATIONS
A) All games shall start promptly. No game shall kick off later than ten (10) minutes after its scheduled start. If starting late the time will be deducted from the game equally over the two halves.
B) Games shall not begin will less than seven (7) players available to each side at time of kick-off. Teams fielding less than seven players will be considered as a “No show” and forfeit the game (after 10 minutes). Mites and Tykes will need minimum five (5). Squirts may play with any number of players.
C) Players substitution (excluding Mites) shall be permitted with the consent of the referee during a stoppage in play. Player substitution can be made at the following times:
· GOAL KICK
· SCORING OF A GOAL
· INJURY OF A PLAYER
· HALF TIME
· THROW-IN
The player being substituted must leave the field before the substitute player is allowed on. No substitution is allowed for players ordered off the field. The player being sent off for 5 minutes for receiving a yellow card may be substituted.
D) The referee can shorten the game due to bad light, but must confer with both coaches before game starts.
E) Weather – in the event that thunder or lightning exists, the games will be cancelled (at the discretion of the president). Coaches will be notified prior to game. A referee may stop a game that is in progress. Refer to
SECTION IX for rescheduling game.
DISCIPLINE
A) No player substitution is allowed for any player ordered off the field (red card).
B) Any player given a yellow card will have to leave the field for five (5) minutes (a cool down period). The coach is allowed to substitute this player.
C) If the team has no available substitutes the team will play short for this time.
D) The Referee is in charge of the game. Any decision made by him/her is binding and cannot be reversed. He/She will have the full backing of the Executive and coaches on this matter.
E) The disciplinary committee will deal with all matters of discipline or protest.
F) The disciplinary committee will be made up of three (3) members, including the referee chairman, head convenor and president.
G) The disciplinary committee will set up guidelines on discipline for the smooth running of the association.
H). DEFINITIONS OF RED AND YELLOW CARDS
RED CARDS
Issued for actions classed as non-violent (e.g. Deliberate hand ball, tackle from behind, abusive language, sexual or ethnic remarks directed at other people involved in the game (this includes spectators), will be reason for dismissal. Team will play one player short for the balance of the game.
Spitting or violent play, with a deliberate attempt to injure strike or attempt to strike an opponent, team mate, official or spectator, will result in a red card. This will result in an immediate suspension to this player. The disciplinary committee will determine the length of the suspension to be served.
YELLOW CARDS.
Will be issued for players using strong language towards themselves. (e.g. audible to spectators, when making a bad play), or violations that do not warrant a red card. The player getting the yellow card will sit out of the game for five (5) minutes. Another may take the place of player with the yellow card.
Yellow card followed by a further infraction in the same game is reason for a red card. Player to be dismissed (sent off), no replacement player will be allowed to replace the player for the balance of the game.
I) The referee chairman will be responsible for tracking red and yellow cards and will keep the disciplinary chairman (head convenor) informed of infractions.
